Every full groom at Honourable Dog Grooming includes:
We offer a special introductory session for puppies to help them get used to the grooming process. This gentle session includes a mini bath, light trim, nail clip and plenty of positive reinforcement. It's important for puppies to have a good first experience so they grow up to be happy, relaxed salon visitors.
We recommend bringing your puppy in for their first groom from around 12 to 16 weeks of age, once they've had their vaccinations.
Can't get to us? We offer a pick-up and drop-off service within a 3-mile radius of our Little Lever salon for just £5 each way. Please arrange this when booking your appointment.
A full groom typically takes between 1.5 and 2.5 hours depending on the size of your dog and the condition of their coat. Bath and brush outs are usually around 45 minutes to an hour.
Most breeds benefit from a professional groom every 6 to 8 weeks. Breeds with faster-growing coats, such as Poodles and Bichons, may need grooming every 4 to 6 weeks. We will advise you on the best schedule for your dog's breed and lifestyle.
Yes, we welcome dogs of all sizes. Please mention the breed and size of your dog when booking so we can allocate enough time for their appointment.
We will always try to de-mat a coat where possible, but in some cases the kindest option for the dog is to clip the coat short and start fresh. We will discuss this with you and agree a plan before we begin. Severely matted coats may incur a small additional charge.
